A Template for Product Discovery Sprints

While I was working at Overleaf I was lucky to have support from my manager to explore new approaches to product development, including training with Teresa Torres and applying the methods described in her book Continuous Product Discovery. I wrote about this in another blog post, so I won’t cover this here.

What I’d like to share is the product discovery sprint template that I created when my team wanted to practice all the methods as an integrated process. This template works for a week-long sprint, but can also be used over a longer period of time.

Download the template below to get an idea of what’s involved:

The biggest benefit of doing product discovery is that you get to test ideas before you build any code, saving precious resources while building a roadmap that meets your customer needs fully.

To use the template, you will need to be already familiar with product discovery methods and tools. However, if you need help to run a discovery sprint at your company, or want me to coach your team, get in touch to discuss.
